Dr. Anissa Robinson, is a certified Hypnotherapist, a practitioner of Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Matrix and Reiki. What hypnosis does is to help create a strong positive expectancy by reducing stress and anxiety, thereby normalizing the actions of the autonomic nervous system. Services Dr. Robinson provides may include a utilization of an induction of hypnosis, meditation, or guided imagery, thus helping clients discover their inner creative abilities to develop positive thinking and feeling and to transform undesirable habits and behavior patterns.
“Research has found that this technology provides a drug-free alternative that strengthens targeted brainwave patterns to foster desired mental states; activates the parasympathetic nervous system’s relaxation response; promotes healing for numerous mental and physical conditions.”
The services provided by Dr. Robinson do not include the practice of medicine or psychotherapy as she does not attempt to treat or diagnose disease and/or mental disorders.
Dr. Robinson has been certified by The National Guild of Hypnotists, and is a full member of the Complementary Therapist, and International Center for Reiki and Hypnotherapy. Dr. Robinson studied under the direction of John Henderson, PhD, at the Atlantian Temple in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Robinson began her interest with the holistic arena in 1997 as a paralegal in the military when Reflexology & Reiki energy healing was first introduced as a tool to assist in healing her back injury. She retired from her prior job in March 2008, and took up the art of holistic healing as a new career.
Her mission is to foster the development of a continuum of supportive professional outreach programs for veterans and their families. Unlike other organizations, the concept of her program is to be extremely innovative in getting veterans involved and assisting them to make healthier choices in real life situations. She provides a ‘hands-on’ approach that encourages them to be a viable contributor in their community and to their family and achieve the level of self-sufficiency.
